Nope. That wouldn't cover our bills.  We need a minimum of like $55k a year just to pay the bills on time and eat.. so..

I stay home with my kids and my husband makes 55k a year. A lot more then 30k and we still struggle sometimes! So definitely not

That depends on the bills you have. My husband makes about that and we get along alright

Absolutely not. That would be no where near enough to cover the bills. Maybe if we lived somewhere where we could live on about 20k a year, but idk if that place exists. We make about 50k combined now without kids and it’s iffy

I guess it depends on the cost of living where you live, whether you could get public assistance, other child care options available, how much income you could make, and whether you would be happy and fulfilled. After taxes, my husband only takes home about what we pay our nanny. We have talked about him staying home - but only for about two seconds - because we both know he wouldn’t really be happy in the long run so it wouldn’t be worth it.

In my situation I would because he’s in the military and we have free housing, electricity, and water so it’s actually a really nice income for us. If we paid all of that though then no probably not.
