Okay so you go to someone’s house, get your hair done, paid for the service and now the hairstylist is asking you to send pictures to post you on their Instagram. The person chooses not to be posted. Are they wrong for that?

I think it’s something that should have been discussed upfront. Like with a photographer, you generally agree to be part of their portfolio so I imagine it’s the same concept with a hair stylist. But I definitely think you have the right to refuse to be posted on social media if you didn’t give permission before the service. I personally wouldn’t mind a picture of only my hair - who would know it’s me, anyway?

Just cover your face? I don’t see the big deal in helping out your stylist by letting her post pictures of your hair.

No not being unreasonable at all. If it was a situation where the hair stylist offered a small discount if the person could be used on their social media, and the person went along with it then refused that’s pretty shitty, but not everyone wants to be used on companies social media sites
