Am I wrong for being peeved? Please be honest

My best friend from HS and I still talk and she recently started to talk with my ex from HS. It kinda bugs me, but she has a boyfriend so I wasn’t thinking it’d be a romantic thing and I was being sensitive especially because we’re now all in our twenties...but she sent me this screen shot of one of their conversations because “she thought I would think it’s funny”
Obviously I haven’t been with the person in years. I also feel like I shouldn’t be bothered because I’m happily married to someone else but the whole thing seems uncomfortable to 
me. I don’t feel like my friend should be talking to my ex this way and telling me about it. Am I being too sensitive, and am I thinking this is malicious intent when it’s not a big deal?

Unless this guy was horrible or abusive to you, I cant find a problem in what she is doing. It was years ago, you broke up, you have obviously moved on, why wouldn't you wish them both good luck if they are good people? Maybe I am just too old and far out if high school to understand, but I would only be upset if I still had lingering feelings for the guy.

I don’t think it’s Innapropriate, but then again I don’t know her. It’s random that she sends it to you, maybe just tell her that he’s your ex and you don’t feel like having blitz of him in your life.

Maybe she was sending it “as a joke” trying to gauge your response, to see if you’d be upset. Not to stir things up but to see if you’d be mad that they were talking. Like seeking some sort of permission. But she just didn’t feel comfortable asking you directly. 
Besides that, it was a high school bf and you don’t own him so it seems like it shouldn’t be a big deal. Especially because you’re married. Getting mad about it kind of makes it sound like you’re jealous and maybe haven’t moved on.

Why do you care let her live her life. If your really happy with your husband then t shouldn’t bother you. That relationship is over and clearly very over since you’re married. Let her talk to him and do as she pleases.

She's not doing anything wrong. I mean, it's not like childhood exes even count as real exes. You were children.  Lol. You're an adult now. If you're over this guy and as happily married as you claim I cannot for the life of me figure out what there is for you to be bothered about here...

It’s a joke, if it upsets you then distance yourself but honestly I don’t even worry about my last relationship never mind one I had in school.

So I guess a couple things to mull over.... 
If she sent this to you about a conversation with her bf would it bother you?
What if it was with a random guy but she had a bf?
Or is it only bothering you because it is him specifically? 
Was this a serious bf? Because she probably then wouldn’t have thought that it would bother you if it was just a quick fling. 
If it was a serious bf then that isn’t very sensitive of her, BUT she probably still wouldn’t thought anything of it bc you are happily married. 
Overall, if your answers to the first two questions were “no” then it only bothers you because your friend is talking to an ex of yours. Really, it shouldn’t matter bc it was ages ago, BUT that doesn’t mean that you aren’t allowed to feel upset. Whatever emotions you’re feeling— they are valid. The real decision you have to make is if you will just keep moving forward in hopes that it’ll eventually not bother you or if you should say anything to your friend. 
A true friend should respect hat you don’t care to see those messages anymore, but she has every right as well to feel like “why does it matter to you”. So, I would just try to think of an easy way to tell her that it’s super weird to see those conversations and you’d rather not see details like that anymore.

Well if she has a bf and is talking to another guy like this,regardless of who it is, then yes I understand why it would make you feel uncomfortable.  I know a lot of people don’t have a problem with people flirting with others when they are in a relationship but I believe it is an emotional affair.  It would make me uncomfortable.
