Is there any kind of way to stop a period?

I’m really getting tired of having a cycle I had for 6 years but now it’s not even fun anymore I don’t know how people put up with this but is there any kind of way I can stop having my cycle all together my family doesn’t like the suggestion of me having a hysterectomy for some reason so is there any other way ?

Yea if you're young and not having any severe issues most doctors wont do it. When I took the depoprovera bc shot I didmt have any cycles. The only negative is the shot can put on unwanted weight.

I would just take my birth control pill and skip the placebo/sugar pills if I had an event or something. Doc said there wasn’t anything wrong with it. I did make sure to get it other times bc I hated the breakthrough bleeding/spotting.

I had a depo injection many years ago i had it for 2 years had to go back every three months to have it done but i didn’t have a period once while i was on it.

I think there are some birth control pills that can make your period stop or be extremely light. Definitely a better option than hysterectomy. And then, you still have the option of having kids/having more kids, so that you won't regret that decision in the future.
