Should I go through my boyfriends phone? (Please explain)

My boyfriend and I are faithful to each other and I have no suspicion that he would be talking to anybody else. We haven't been around each other recently because of the holidays and I guess it's getting to me. He just hasn't been texting me as much and I know he's busy. I'm also about to start my period so I am very emotional right now. I have never really gone through his phone before. But I kind of just want to check his messages but I'm not meaning to be nosy or anything. Like he's given me the password to his phone and everything. We met on a dating app and I want to make sure he doesn't have those downloaded still cause he didnt delete them until we were already talking to each other for a few weeks. Am I just being paranoid? I have 0 suspicion. I have never really gone through his phone tho and I've always gone through my exes so I feel a little unsecure
