Should I ignore him?

My bf and I broke up about a month ago after 10-month relationship. He broke up with me and I want to get back together so I have been giving him his space. About 2 weeks ago he reached out and wanted to meet up. We met and had a great time and even kissed. Afterwards he didn't contact me... I waited a week and then contacted him. He was responding extremely slow and then all of sudden when I asked for a second date, he didn't respond. He was silent for about 3 days and then texted me "Merry Christmas", like nothing happened! Should I ignore him or just reply? Thanks
