I want a baby...

But he doesn’t. I have a child already. Got pregnant at 17, and he’s almost 9 years old now. His father and I are not together anymore, as a matter of fact he is now married and has two more kids with his wife. I met my now fiancé 5 years ago, and couldn’t be happier in my relationship. Aside from one thing... I want a baby and he does not. He recently got a promotion at work and her said “maybe now a baby wouldn’t be so bad” but then literally two days later was saying “no, children are horrible. Think about it, xxxxx is already 9 years old, we are half way to a house to ourselves.” I want to respect his decision to not have children, but I all of our family members and friends are having babies and asking when our turn will be. He’s a great father figure with my son now, but I just truly desire one of our own. I just don’t know how to approach it, it almost seems like every time I try to talk to him about it, it turns into a joke. 😔
