My financè and I got our BFP 2 months ago through home insemination with a known donor. We had documents drawn up and he signed away all rights to the child. We planned on a wedding in October of 2020 but with the baby coming, I wasnt sure if we needed to be married before the baby comes to be on the birth certificate? If we are married before the baby, will we need to go through a second parent adoption or does Florida recognize same sex rights the same as heterosexual couples. We live In Florida and just want to make sure both of us have the same legal rights, regardless of who carried the child.
