See something say something... What would you do??

Alright.. I have question and I am kind of too scared to stand up for myself... I work at a very popular thrift store which I will not name, but they try to do a lot of good for the community. We have people with special needs that come in and work. Actually, one of our things that we are known for is treating these special needs individuals with respect and giving them jobs. People look up to this company because we advertise how their purchases help so and so. One special needs individual asks a lot of questions. She is special needs and still tries her best. One of my managers gets very upset with her because she asks questions of where things are a lot and asks for redirection on her tasks or how to do something. Today, a team leader, (there are 4 of them that are under our boss) sent the special needs individual home today because (quote) she wasn't "Doing her job today and was asking too many questions that she knew the answer to." The individual who has disabilities was told to clock out and go home basically due to her disability since she was asking questions. She has a disability so she can't help if she doesn't understand something or needs more clarification.... Also, the girl with the disability, her favorite caregiver from her home quit and this probably made her more unfocused at work. This made the girl with disabilities have an already rough day. Then she pretty much got unlawfully sent home due to "asking too many questions and not doing her job." Which is because she is special needs. She can not help it. Her group home called and asked to speak with my boss, but I feel like calling one of our lines in the breakroom about this and explaining what happened... I don't know what to do... But I wasn't okay with want happened... Either were my two coworkers that were both witnesses to this.

What would you do? My boss will probably not do anything so the team leader won't quit. I dont want to overstep my boundaries... but this just didn't seem right to me... I am scared that my boss with retaliate against me if I say something...
