Need advice from ladies who are not ftms...

So I’m really stressed out right now. My first pregnancy, I was induced at 37 weeks due to low fluid and ended up needing an emergency csection. To say the least, I am terrified of another csection. My doc says she won’t induce me due to the medications she would have to use since I’m trying for vbac. My due date is Jan 8th and she wants to schedule a csection for that date if baby doesn’t come on his own. My question is why? I’ve been fighting her in this because I don’t want a csection but also don’t want to put my baby at risk or harm. I asked to schedule it a week later to give baby time to come in his own but she will be out of the state and I would not like a stranger doc. What would you ladies do?
