I wanted to get some other peoples story. Im 18 and still dont even have my permit. Some reasons for this is my mom. I've seen her teach others to drive and her method is yelling and cussing people out when the make mistakes, including her own mother who almost crashed my mom's car. This and how she wanted me to drive benefit her is the other reason. She even stated i need you to drive when i turned 18, my dad asked do i want to learn yet, before I can say no she said no I need her to drive so she can help with A, my little sister, like picking her up from her job and other things. With picking her up I would have to leave baltimore from whatever im doing in college to go to virgina to get her. I don't want to be used like this even if im her daugther. I understand asking your child to help you once and while but knowing my mom and how she's talked about her wanting me to drive and why i think this is going to far. Anyone elsehad to go through this when you learned to drive?
