Anyone ever had this happen on a test??

So I’ve been a little worried bc my progesterone at one point stopped very low. I’m on 200mg supplement a day now. Based off of my cycle I should be 6 weeks tomorrow but I think I ovulated sooner than the calculation thought I would. So I decided to take a few tests and it’s like the positive line took over the control line. Has anyone had this happen before???

If it’s positive and the positive line took over the control line I think the line would be on the other end not on the control line.  It’s the positive part that should be way darker.  That’s how mine was you could bearly see the control line anymore.  Maybe test again cos this one looks negative Or see a doctor?

Once your HCG get to a certain point the test can no longer pick it up. It's called the hook effect.

That’s the control line that’s darker not test. This test is negative

I see what you mean with the control line being really dark on the left side and then a lighter colour in on the right or underneath.  I think that’s kind of the way tests work the strip that catches the dye is to one side and  then the colour fills the rest of the field.
I would try a dilute sample and see if your test line darkens up.
I last tested about 6 weeks (with dollar store tests) but have not experienced the hook effect myself.

this is an example of super positive where test line is darker than control. the test in post is negative. :( unless your hormones are so high that the hook effect took over then I'd see Dr!!!

Look up the hook effect. Try diluting your urine. Sometimes there is so much Hoch that it cantpick it up as a positive.

I do see a faint line in the test spot, but that is the control line that is so dark. I have experienced the hook effect but what happens is your test line gets progressively darker, then it gets darker than the control line and the control line starts getting lighter. At this point I have to dilute my urine with water to get a super dark line because my levels have gotten very high. Because of your history I would call your doctor hon. Best of luck to you ♥️
