Daughter’s Pull up

So here lately my daughter has been waking up in the mornings with a fishy pull up. I first noticed it when she came in in the morning and the scent was so strong I could smell it when she came in. It was very alarming as this has never happened before. I thought it was maybe she was dehydrated, so I gave her tons of water throughout the day. But the next morning it was the same. So reached out to ped, they suggested a baking soda bath and monistat. I have been doing those for a few days and no change. Here is what has changed with her:- probiotic vitamin supplements in the AM- magnesium gummy in the eveningI started giving her the magnesium gummy because she doesn’t care too much for milk and is very picky on food. Thank you!

Have you had her tested for a UTI? Strong or fishy smelling urine can be an indicator of a UTI

Faint line?

Am I crazy or does anyone else see it? I think I’m just testing a little early..

Yes I feel the same way. We have our August 19 babe, a November 21 babe and now pregnant with an October 24 babe and I feel so guilty for bringing children into this awful, terrifying world. If it’s not war, the overwhelming amount of evil in people, aliens/demons, I mean, we are being absolutely terrible to our planet and killing it mroe and more every day.

Faint line?

Does anyone else see it, or am I delusional? 😅

Big boy bed

My 3 and a half year old is finally out of a crib and we transitioned him into a toddler bed until we decide which bed to get him. I wanted to see what has everyone got their LO. We’re stuck between getting a twin or a full. I’m just not sure which would be more comfortable for him and for him to not fall out. He’s also pretty tall, I want get him something that will last at least the next 5 years.

My baby girl has been in a full sized bed since she was 2 and a half. We converted her crib into the fullsized bed and she loves it

Poopoo only during sleeping

My toddler used to do poopoo in the toilet until she had some constipation and had trouble going. She is regular now but only does poopoo when she is sleeping. I think she may be afraid to try it while awake. Any recommendations?

My LO just started being Peepee trained a month ago. No matter what I did, I could not get him to go poop in the potty. He would wait till nap or bedtime when he had diapers on to poop. I took a course and the best advice I received was knowing their usual poop times. So if that’s right when they wake up then you set your alarm and wake up get them out of bed and put them on the toilet. You can give her a book and say oh mommy needs to get her phone or get dressed, I’ll be right back! That can give then a few minutes of privacy. That is the only thing that has worked for us! He had his first poop in the potty 2 days ago. With constipation you can try children’s miralx, lots of fiber, prune juice should do the trick as well. Good luck!!

I need advice from one struggling parent !!

My daughter who is 3 & on the autism spectrum, has beginning to have what I believe is night terrors, does anyone else have any suggestions on what I can do to ease it or something I should oof or should do? I’m new to this, I’m trying my best and hardest for her but I’m lost as can be right now. Help!

I know sleep is something that is typically a struggle with children who are ASD. Keep her nighttime routine strict so she knows what to expect and not to raise her anxiety levels before bed. You can ask your pediatrician about a type of sleep aide possibly. Melatonin? Unfortunately I don’t think there is anything to can do to totally alleviate night terrors. I have a friend who’s son has them and you just have to ride the wave as it happens. Don’t try to wake her up during a night terror. Just do what you can to keep her calm and safe until it passes.

Anyone still rear facing?

My daughter weighs only 29 pounds and her car seat max is 50 pounds and she has been requesting to face “like her brother” (who’s 5) and I’m like noooo… but like would it be the worst thing if i tried it? Probably won’t do it but just want others input. She’s so tinyyyyyyyy poor thing she justwants to be like her big siblings… side note how does your little one weigh?

My son is 32 lbs. We are rear facing him on highways or longer trips. But forward facing for small streets. I didn’t agree to forward gave him but my husband did few times and now he doesn’t like rear facing anymore. We have to convince him it’s for his safety or he can take a nap that way easier and then he is fine.

At my wits end

Every night for the past year maybe longer we have laid in our daughters room. When she was in the crib, on the floor. Now a big bed so with her. We read a book. She falls asleep. That’s it. We just finished potty training. She remains dry all night. Every night she comes into our room and wants only me to lay back in bed with her. We have baby #2 coming in may and I’m losing sleep every night. I can’t keep doing this. Why will she not stay asleep? She’s tired at night… How can i break us sleeping with her? I’m so tired.😭😭😭😭

We have to lay in our daughters bed until she falls asleep every single night and then she usually wakes up once at night and my husband has to go in and sleep with her the rest of the night. She wasn't like this a year ago, she'd go right to sleep and stay asleep all night. We have 3 month old twins so its really hard when someone has to go in with her 😭

I’m so desperate

My heart is hurting. I hate bedtime with my daughter. She goes to school. Naps most days. She comes home and is great. We do our bedtime routine. Read a book. All of a sudden it’s a switch with her. Flipping, rolling, kicking, screaming out of control. I always lay next to her but when she acts out i leave. This goes on for an hour if not more.. every single night. She use to be so good but now it’s a mess. I dread it. I don’t wanna do it. I lose my cool and get so mad. I have no idea what to do. My husband tried to help but it’s the same thing. I need help. I am my breaking point.

Try giving choices between to pairs of pajamas to wear, what book, what bathroom to brush teeth ect. Sometimes it is a control thing. Ask her to use her words and express how she is feeling so you can help. You may also need to make bed time earlier if she is getting too tired and acting out. Sometimes it just is something you gotta work through

Development delay

I have a niece who is almost 2.5, my August baby is older and I have a younger daughter who is almost 2. We have a close family and they see their cousin alot. I started noticing my niece acted alot different then my children. Obviously every child is different and develop at their own pace but I've just noticed some red flags and wondering if I'm just worrying about nothing. My mother-in-law has bought up the same issues to me and my grandmother and mom have noticed she delayed in a lot of other areas. She is an only child and doesn't play with other kids often where as my kids both go to daycare so that might be why but I'm not sure. She is very behind in speech.. she can say about 5 words, mom, dad, grammie, hi, bye. She might just be a late talker but what concerns me more is the interaction with people. I feel like when I talk to her nothing is happening, I will ask her yes or no questions or where's your nose? Or simple tasks. She just stares... Nothing happens. She just started getting excited to see her grandparents or her cousins but before there would be no interaction, no emotion when she saw people she knew well. She rarely shows affection to her grandparents. She's constantly jumping, she will put everything in her mouth and will eat the sand out of the sand box. She just stares at me like I have two heads if I interact with her. She also lacks alot of basic skills. She can't get her shoes on and struggles with doing simple puzzles. Maybe she's just a little behind and will get there but her parents don't think there's an issue even with the speech. My mother-in-law mentioned that she could get her on the list for speech therapy since it's a long list but she doesn't want to do that. She has also offered to pay for daycare for 1 day to get some social time in for her but she won't do it. My sister in law is in a wheelchair so she can't take her to playgroups so daycare is really the only option for her to get to play with other kids. Is this normal? Am I worring about nothing?

Have you talked to her paediatrician about it? He would know better and could give you a referral, if needed.

Whining

Anyone else’s 3 year old giving your sanity a run for its money with the allllllllllll dayyyyyy whining? I’ve been so short with here these pas couple of weeks than all her born days! I’ve tried gentle parenting, lunatic, threatening spanking (she didn’t know what it was I had to explain 🤣) to no avail. Just all day whining. I’m at my wits end and feel like a failure bc I’ve resulted to yelling all the time. It’s awful! HELLLLLLPPPPP!

Try a chart that was working for us. Im just so horrible at remembering to actually use it. At the end of the week she would get a prize. We had to work on picking up and whining and hitting.

My 3 year old became a very proud big sister

On Monday I gave birth to a very handsome baby boy, 6lbs 4oz of pure cuteness and my 3 year old became a very proud big sister. This picture was taken when her dad helped her hold her baby brother for the first time. Every morning she wakes up now she has to look in on her baby brother laying in his bassinet and says aw mommy baby's cute.

Our twins are going to be 3 months old this week and their big sister is OBSESSED with them. Its so cute!

Does this seem like a lot for their age or average?

These are the conditions he would need to have to return to his preschool. He only turned 3 in August and I had no idea preschools have such high guidelines for potty training/independence. He’s making a lot of progress potty training but no where near the verbalization or holding it portion yet. Asking for opinions as my second son is just about to turn 2 and I will push harder so he doesn’t miss out on 3k preschool like his brother :/

My son is in preschool but being potty trained isn't a requirement, they were also super helpful with the training process. He is just recently potty trained and can do all except needs some help with wiping. I do sometime have to remind him to go if we're out doing something fun.
