Anyone still rear facing?

My daughter weighs only 29 pounds and her car seat max is 50 pounds and she has been requesting to face “like her brother” (who’s 5) and I’m like noooo… but like would it be the worst thing if i tried it? Probably won’t do it but just want others input. She’s so tinyyyyyyyy poor thing she justwants to be like her big siblings… side note how does your little one weigh?

My little guy is forward facing. We probably turned him too soon and should have waited a bit longer. He’s only 28lbs.
He got really carsick while rear facing and got so much better when we turned him.
My kids all run small and will never max out weight limits in car seats.

I turned my girl at the beginning of the summer when I was pregnant and struggling to lift her into the seat, but she was only a few pounds away from the rear facing max. Hers I believe is 40 or 45 and she was 39 around her birthday in august!

My son is 32 lbs. We are rear facing him on highways or longer trips. But forward facing for small streets. I didn’t agree to forward gave him but my husband did few times and now he doesn’t like rear facing anymore. We have to convince him it’s for his safety or he can take a nap that way easier and then he is fine.

If I had my way my son would still be rear facing. My husband turned our son without asking and wouldn’t turn him back. I’m not strong enough to tighten it tight enough by myself.

We’re still rear facing. He’s 32 pounds and his car seat allows up to 50 pounds. That’s our goal (unless he hits height max first of course). Rear facing forever lol. He’s only even seen another kid forward face once, though so he hasn’t had that influence! He doesn’t realize it’s an option.

We waited until after a big trip then turned him forward. He was just about to turn 3. I kind of wish we had waited a little longer bc of his size. Both my kiddos are small. My Aug babe is just now 30lbs and 35in tall, but we felt like it was the right time. At the moment I plan on keeping little sister rear facing a longer than that. Do what feels right for you LO!

We're forward facing now. I tried so hard to rear face until the seat limits, but I gave in early. Such a tough choice but you'll make the best decision for your family. And at his 3rd birthday he was 41" and 38lbs.

Shes been forward facing since 2 but she's also tall for her age her current weight is 36 pounds
