Metformin to cause Late period?

I started taking metformin the same day I ovulated for PCOS . I have had regular periods until now. My period was due two days ago. But not sign of it yet. Should I test? Or could the metformin effect it? Scared to test bc I am scared to get another negative.

Why are you taking metformin if you have regular periods? Also, you start metformin once you get your period. You essentially messed up your cycles.

How did you confirm ovulation? It’s highly likely you ovulated later than predicted. Metformin has regulated my cycle more, it was very long cycles but now it’s more in range. Do you have PCOS, Insulin Resistance? What was Metformin prescribed for? It can take some time to work. Just wait a week and test if af doesn’t show.
