Do I really need to spend the big bucks and go to a nice hair salon just for a trim?

I usually go to a place like Supercuts and get the same trim I’ve always had for years. Meanwhile I see other women spending hundreds and going to a real salon to get the works done.

If I’m just getting my usual trim, is it worth spending lots of money and going someplace expensive? Why or why not?
