Did anyone have more trouble using the bathroom AFTER pregnancy than during?

I had minimal issues with BM during pregnancy and really only toward the end but very seldom. Now being 8 weeks PP I’ve had more issues than ever before. Did this happen to any other mommas?

Yes, I got so constipated that I gave myself hemmeroids. Twice. My advice, drink at least three+ litres of water a day teamed with three-six sachets of Movicol and upping your fibre intake immensely. Then to get the initial hardened stool out, I used a suppository (dulcolax) when that failed I used a mini enema (microlax) and that shifted things real fast. Second birthing I called it 😂 but seriously I was there and it's not fun. Drink water, have fibre and use movicol until you're regular again.

Yess! I thought I got constipated when I was pregnant, that wasnt shit compared to afterwards. I had baaaaad hemorrhoids too. Had never had them before so I had a hard time. My baby’s 8 months old and things are just starting to go back to normal. I started taking fiber pills and taking stool softeners regularly. I dont need either one anymore.

You could check with your doctor to see if your symptoms indicate pelvic floor dysfunction. I had issues with this before pregnancy and did physical therapy to help resolve the symptoms. They said it's pretty common for women who have had children. I've noticed my symptoms recurring now postpartum.
