Have you ever had an epidural? Was it good?

I was induced on friday and when I got checked And tablet been put in I couldn't cope, second tablet had to be put in and midwife couldn't get in because of my pain. Have to wait 24 hours and they will check me again, break water and put me on drips. Was told to have an epidural before water being broken as I won't stay still. Nervous and frustrated

Just go with what your body is telling u. If u can’t take the pain get one, it sounds like u need it. I’ve never had one personally but my pain threshold is very high.

I had one and it was a game changer for me. My contractions were on top of each other and I wasn’t getting any relief.

I waited to get one until I was about to push. My daughter was stuck on my pelvic bone and I couldn’t relax enough to let her rotate downward so I was told I needed one. At that point I agreed lol.

I WISH they gave me my epidural before my water broke. I was fine but after my water broke my contractions hurt 1037937 times worse.

You were induced Friday and you are still in labor 🥺 I am so sorry! Sounds like if you are already having that much pain you should definitely get the epidural anything to make it better is worth it.

I’ve had two one was horrible the other was perfectly fine. I’ve also had a baby all natural. That was the easiest recovery 
It does sound like you’re progressing slowly but steady? Honestly I’d see how you feel. We all cope with pain differently. If you can’t tolerate the pain and yes it is very painful - get the epidural. You got this!

I had them with 3/4 of my pregnancies. Only the last one didn’t work well and had to be checked multiple times.

If getting the tablets and your waters broken is hurting that much, pitocin contractions will likely be worse for you. Get the epidural. I was glad to have a peaceful labor.
