Help required, my baby is just over 7 weeks and we are breastfeeding but he does have a bottle a day all is going well.

I have not yet given a dummy.

The last couple of days he is putting his hand in his mouth and everyone keeps telling me he will start sucking his thumb and to give him a dummy?

He is also getting unsettled at night and taking a while to settle but I have read this is normal for this age.

I very confused would you give a dummy or not? And when would you do this as I wouldn’t want him having this all day?
