Sorry for the long post but I need to vent. Long story short my SO hates my family and does not want them at our house. Every time they come we fight the whole time they are here and for days after. In all fairness and honesty they are not easy to get along with. My whole family is very ‘our way or the highway’ and they definitely take over our entire house when they come-they live far away so they usually come for a weekend. I just don’t know what to do. I can’t have them here destroying my relationship but at the same time part of me feels like he’s being a self centered asshole. Like yes, my family is a huge pain in the ass and as I said everything has to be exactly as they want it or the pitch a fit, but I don’t understand why WE have to fight about it. I don’t understand why he has to be in a bad mood for fricken DAYS after they leave. I don’t understand why he can’t suck it the fudge up. I know it’s 2 days 😬 but at the same time it’s only 2 days!!!They came, they saw, they drove us crazy and trashed the place but they’ve gone now for the love of god stfu about it 🤷‍♀️ anyone else have the same problem?
