What do you wish you were told?

After having your baby (or babies) looking back, what was something you'd wish you'd been told, something you wish you'd known about coming inti raising a tiny human? For me it was about awake windows, i wish someone had told me about them before i discovered them at 6 weeks.

I wish someone had told me that 3 year olds are little terrorists who will drive you to the brink every day.

The pumping isn’t necessary when EBF. So much missed sleep for no reason at all

I really wish someone would have told me that you get poked like a damn pin cushion. They always take so much darn blood sometimes I wonder if they will leave me any. Lol.

Not to buy clothes under 6 months size 🤣

I feel like I was the opposite of a lot of the things you hear. 
I was told -
Buy very few newborn diapers and you probably won’t need newborn clothes even. Most babies only fit in them for a couple weeks if at all. You will have a big baby. 
Truth - 
My baby came one month early and almost could’ve done preemie sizes! He is 4 weeks and still wearing newborn clothes and diapers! 
I was told - 
Your vagina is going to tear and need stitches. 
Truth - 
Nope! 
I was told - 
Your first poop after birth will be more painful than giving birth. 
Truth - 
Nope! I didn’t tear, didn’t have hemeroids so I had no problems. 
I was told - 
You will bleed heavily for weeks. 
Truth - 
Nope! I didn’t bleed heavily at all and only for about 2 weeks. 
I thought -
You need to hold your baby all the time.
Truth - 
In the beginning it is hard to set your baby down. You are nervous to set them down, you just want to cuddle them all the time, and you think that’s what you have to do. But then, you don’t eat, you don’t shower, the day goes by and you have accomplished nothing. You realize that it’s totally OK to set your baby down, and that’s why you buy all the baby gadgets like bouncers, rockers. Boppy pillows. 
I heard - 
Do you shouldn’t give a pacifier to a newborn because it will cause nipple confusion. 
Truth - 
I’m exclusively pumping so I give my baby a pacifier whenever he needs it.
