Implant birth control and late periods

I got my implant about 6 months ago and everythings been pretty regular for me. I started having pretty frequent intercourse about 2 months ago and this month my period is late by 13 days so far..should I be worried? I'm scared to take a pregnancy test. I have the implant but is that not always enough? Should I be worried?
