Immediate exposure life threatening virus ethical?

Desiree

Hi ladies, so im a research coordinator and we do Clinical trials. We recently started venturing into studies for viruses that we can catch for example the common cold and the flu. Everyone in our office contracted a cold during the cold study (even the receptionist), now we are supposed to be starting a flu study. Now the dr I work for has already admitted that we will be the most prone people on the face I'd the planet to catch the flu because we are specifically looking for the flu virus and welcoming it into our office. He has instructed everyone to get the flu vaccine, I planned to get anyways but there's one problem... the vaccine does not cover all of the flu viruses!! I am at risk to getting the flu and pregnant women and older persons are more vulnerable. I've already had a deathly ill cold very early on in my pregnancy, it was so bad I thought I would miscarry because I was so ill. I understand I have a chance for picking up flu at a grocery store, but I'm a fucking target being exposed to it knowingly. Now everyone dosent have to be a nurse working on the study, they choose who will be and I don't want to be. Is there anything I can do? Legally isn't this wrong? If somone tests positive for flu I shouldn't have to be in a small exam room with them, that's risky to myself and my unborn child, we've already had 3 miscarriages 😭. They don't know I'm pregnant yet, I'm only 7 weeks I wasn't planning on saying anything this early! What can I do?
