Implantation bleeding or period?

I am due for my period on January 7th, if that is I am not pregnant. Last 2 months my period came on exactly the 7th. I took a pregnancy test today because we have been trying but it came back negative. It may be too soon I don’t know however now I am cramping and bleeding ( light pink spotting).

Do I have my period a week early or am I pregnant and this is implantation bleeding but the test detected false ???
