How did antidepressants affect you?

With my antidepressants I gained a lot of happiness, not simply because the drug made me happy, but because it gave me so much more emotional control over my life.

Best decision i ever made was to get on them.. unfortunately for me they weren’t enough and i have to do therapy along with taking my meds.. but i feel much better since doing so

Made my life easier best thing id done after waiting around 4years to admit i needed antidepressants and I bought a puppy he helped me alot sounds silly but 100% true

I hated them. I was “happier” but I literally felt like my head was wrapped in pillow stuffing or a cloud. Everything was getting processed slower by my brain and my reactions were slower too - I just felt like I was trying to see and live through a fog.

I didn't feel as sad on them but I never felt as happy on them. I still stayed on them for a while because I was having such a hard time. I'm off them now and I still have rough days but I feel like I have happier days.
