Brown periods?

So I'm a fairly skinny 14 year old and active in sports, my last period was mostly just brown blood and then discharge for about 5 days. Is it normal at my age? I got my first period in february. I'm not on the pill but has only been happening while I was active in a sport starting October.

Normal to have irregular periods when you first start your period in the early years. It should regulate as you age. Also, intense exercise can shorten a period as well. 
But brown blood is just old blood. Normal. 
But anytime you feel concerned, or something doesn’t feel right, always see a doctor.

Are you using pads or tampons? That sounds fine to me. I usually bleed for about 3 days and then spot for 3-5. I asked that because if you’re using tampons it probably looks brown because it’s older
