Sleeping at 6 months
I started him at 4 weeks on an eat awake sleep routine and he was sleeping 10hrs a night by 12 weeks! But we moved states (and then 2 more times until we found our home) when he was 3 months old. It slowly has crumbled into a million pieces. Now instead of eating when he wakes up, he is only nursing when he wants to go to sleep. I don't mind nursing to sleep, sometimes, but I am at my wits end doing it all the time. He used to take binkys and bottles and now he is an exclusive boob guy. He will fight dad on bottles when I'm gone. Also, in order to get any sleep, he HAS to nurse all night long. He'll cry until he gets to nurse in the middle of the night. He used to sleep wonderfully in his bassinet and almost had him in the crib before we moved. I have no idea where my beautiful routine went. 😭😭 I'm trying to do naps in the crib: I nurse him to sleep and put him in his crib. And he'll either wake right up when I put him down or he will only sleep about 40 minutes. My goal is to get him to sleep in his crib through the night at some point. I am also really wanting a routine (not strict schedule, but something predictable every day). But how do I get there? I've gone back to work and I am still the primary caregiver. I just need some rest!! Is there anything I can do? I really can't see myself doing any variation of cry it out, I don't have the ability to let my baby cry.
