Car seat help?

My baby girl is measuring at little small in my stomach, I'm 38 weeks going to be induced at 39 weeks. And the doctors told me they have to do a car seat check in the hospital because shes going to be small.
What do I get for my car of shes small? Do I need a need car seat?

That really makes no sense why they’d say that. So many babies are born small and use regular car seats just fine. You just have to adjust the straps. Just use the car seat you have (if you got one already). If something is wrong with it they can help you fix it I’m sure.

Almost all car seats now start at 4 or 5lbs. If she’s smaller than that she probably won’t be leaving the hospital right away.

You don’t need a new car seat. My son was small 5lbs 5oz and the car seat check was simply us bringing in the car seat, they put him in it, made sure it was adjusted right and then monitored his oxygen levels for 30 min.

It may just be hospital policy to check. All you will need is an infant carseat. The straps should be able to tighten safely around baby. Any extra fluff around the baby will actually make the seat less safe for him/her.
