Omeperzol (Acid Reflux medication) while pregnant?

Hey all! I just found out I was pregnant on NYE, so my first doctors visit isn’t for a few weeks. Does anyone know if Omeperzol (Prilosec) is ok to take while pregnant?

I’ve taken it through all my pregnancies (#4 just now) also ranitidine

I'm not for sure.  They always put me on prescription strength zantac. I heard it wasn't safe in first trimester.  Call your Dr and ask them or their nurse.  They can give you an answer way before your appt.

I think that's a class C drug. The way my doctor described it, is it's unlikely to do harm, but there aren't a whole lot of people doing drug experaments on pregnant women, so there's not a lot of info. I wouldn't take it until you consult a doctor.

My Dr said I could take it. Even though you dont have an appt right away you should be able to call and ask the nurse to be for sure.
