Smoking Kills

Anon

We all know smoking kills,

But I was watching a documentary on smoking with children.

Doctors were mentioning the risks of being a smoker while having kids around, and those things not only effecting the lungs, but ears as well.

But the thing that really intrigued me, was that the doctors were claiming that even if you never smoke in the house, your kids will still be effected, because the smoke is on your body.

And it would only be “okay”

If you changed your clothes and took a shower every single time you came in from outside from smoking.

But the documentary did not necessarily “prove” that statement, or make it feel that was correct information, because the mom of the kid that was having problems due to smoking, told the doctor that her husband only smoked outside, but when the camera cut to the house, it showed the husband smoking indoors in the same exact room as the children.

I’ve always thought that as long as you are smoking in the house, and not around the children, that it is fine.

But since being pregnant, the smell of smoke, whether it be Pot or cigarettes (mostly cigarettes) absolutely GAGS me. And my boyfriend smokes A LOT outside in our garage. And wreaks of it whenever he comes inside. And I have him brush his teeth and sanitize his hands, but his clothes still smell awful.

And I don’t think the smell can actually harm, but if there’s the smell that lingers, that has to mean there’s still residue?

I don’t know. I plan to ask my doctor what she thinks. And I’ve begged him to quit because it makes me feel so sick smelling him all the time.

But I was wondering everyone else’s opinions
