Infected incision..?
I had an emergency c-section 4 weeks ago due to my baby's heart rate being way too high (up in the 200's). My incision looked great up until this weekend. It's been a purple looking but now it's red and there's a part in my incision that looks like it's somewhat open? If I sit up, a dark brownish/reddish fluid comes out but then sometimes it's blood and also puss at times. I've been feeling quite awful the past couple of days (headache, chills, cramps, nausea, and a runny/stuffy nose). Could it be an infection? A friend of mine who is a nurse said it could possibly be staff.. I sure hope not because I read up on that and it said it can kill you! Does anyone have any idea what could be causing all of this? I go to my ob in a few days to get my incision checked out, but I'm kind of freaked out and don't really want to wait that long to hear anything. Please let me know if you have ANY idea on what could be the problem.
