Waking baby to feed?? FTM

My baby girl is 18 days old she’s gained her birth weight since she was 5 days old, I usually wake her up to feed her if she sleeps more than 3 hours during the day but at night I let her sleep and let her wake up on her own if she gets hungry.. she usually sleeps for 5-6 hours during the night but my question is.. is it alright for me to let her sleep already or should I wake her to eat??

Let her sleep!  My daughter slept really well at night pretty much from day 1.  The nurse in the hospital insisted I wake her to eat every 3 hours and I was like, "mmm I'm not going to do that."  saw her Pedi the next day who basically told me I was crazy if I woke her at night.

Let her sleep it is good for her and you. People that wake the baby create a imbalanced sleeping pattern and can do more bad than good. Unless the doctor says too because the baby needs to gain weight.

If she is at her birth weight and docs aren't concerned then just let her sleep. She will for sure wake and let you know when she is hungry.

You only wake them if they are below birth weight. Since she has gained that weight back and then some, i would let her sleep

I would let them sleep tbh its good to get them on a schudule during the day but they need their sleep so unless she wakes up i would let her sleep. :)

Wake her up. I was told by my daughters pediatrician to wake her up to feed until a certain age.
