I’ve spent 5 years working as my own manager kind-off. It was a one-lady project as part of a bigger team. I was never anyone’s Lackie. It was a comfy job. Anyway funding ran out and I had to find a different job... I’m now in a job where people constantly make requests of me, half the time they are unloading their own job tasks on me and I hate it. I’m a supportive element as part of a small team so I can’t turn around and say no, do it yourself.
