⚠️ Strange question..but does anterior placenta affect the quality of a 4D ultrasound?

What is the ideal time frame to get a 4D ultrasound (I was told 28-32 weeks) ? And I have an anterior placenta and was wondering if it would affect this ultrasound or if I would need at adjust my time frame to keep it from doing so?

The lady I went to to determine the gender does 4-D ultrasounds. She told me to drink tons of water for 2 weeks before going in. She said I'd feel like I was drowning but the pictures would be worth it 😂

Drink tons of water! I asked about mine since I was worried and they told me to drink a lot of water the week prior so you will have more amniotic fluid between baby and placenta. It also depends on where exactly your placenta is and where baby is laying. My doctors office guarantees good pics or they will try again, most places that do ultrasounds are the same way! I would just ask what they recommend if you have an anterior placenta.

I’m pregnant with my first baby and I have an anterior placenta. I did everything I could to make sure I have the best 4d pictures for my anatomy scan, stayed extremely hydrated, etc. the tech couldn’t get any 4d pictures. The position of the placenta affects the outcome as does the position of the baby. My little girl is head down and rotated toward my spine so having an anterior placenta plus her position made getting any 4d pictures impossible for me
