Do you refrigerate first or freeze immediately?

I’ve read two different things and now I’m not sure which to do. Do you refrigerate your pumped milk first, then freeze, or immediately freeze? Or does it not matter? Someone on the boards wrote that refrigerated then frozen milk may lose some of its properties.

Other question: I don’t pump a ton per day. I have been refrigerating milk from one day, then refrigerating pumped milk on the next day, then putting both refrigerated bottles in a bag to freeze so that I’m storing a decent amount at once. I thought this was okay because milk can stay okay in fridge for 2-4 days.
