What delivery option are you ladies concerning?

Hello ladies! I’m highly considering water birth. My first pregnancy was 10 years ago when I gave birth to my son. I opted for a epidural during labor with him.  Prior to the delivery of my son I had looked into water birth and later backed out.  This time around I’m having a girl and wanted to try something natural.  Have any of you ladies experienced water birth? If so, how was the experience?  Any moms who’ve been through natural labor & delivery?

I wanted a water birth with my last (2 years ago) but I went from 4cm to 10cm in just over a couple of hours - so by this time it was too late for a water birth and just time to push!!
I was a little disappointed I didn’t get my water birth, but also my labour was so much quicker and “easier” (I’ll say in inverted commas) than I had mentally prepared myself for that I didn’t mind too much. My baby arrived safely and healthy so that’s all that mattered to me!
In the two hours between 4-10cm I did have a bath and just laid in it for almost an hour! For me it definitely eased the pain of contractions and potentially helped speed up my labour.
I will be putting in my birth plan for a water birth again - hopefully I’ll make it this time 😂 
Everyone’s experience of labour is so different though - so you do what is right for you mama 😘

I had a natural labour and delivery in 2016 but for this birth I ideally want to try water as suppose to ease muscle discomfort etc which is what I found worse after the natural birth last time. As painful as it is I want to feel the birth to feel in control of the pushes and know when to push again without being told etc. My sister had a water birth and had a positive experience and didn’t tear either so keen to hopefully go for this if all goes smoothly

I’m not sure🤷🏽‍♀️. But I tried waited it off until get any 4 pain. Or even opt 4 low doses of pain meds while I’m n labor. So I jus play it by ear & wait 2 c.

My birth plans first statement is “to have a baby” I have no idea what to expect as it’s my first. Also I’m allergic to narcotics so no big epidural for me (anesthesiologists said they could do a light epidural which is just lidocaine and I should be able to still walk around and move!). Hospitals in Boston do not have the cdc licenses to have water births (infectious disease risk is too high). There’s a birthing center in Cambridge that has water baths but it’s too far away for me.

I went all natural was scared to get epidural due to my scoliosis in back. All my deliveries we're fast (few hours) no more than 2-4 hrs!! I Had a local (down below) only thing that honestly hurt (bc first had to cut me 8lb baby and second I ripped a little),was back labor contractions (1st BBY) and all front labor (2nd BBY) now I'm expecting my 3rd in April .. I'm still nervous bc I know what 2 expect but good luck Hun I'd go as long I can natural!!! Take a hot shower if pains hurt to bad or get someone to massage ur back etc.....I'm going to try as well!🤗

I want to try and push even though i know I’m most likely going to have another c section since they are 20 months apart and my blood press might act up on me again 😢

with my first i had to be induced and didnt think of anything other then a "normal" hospital birth where as with my second which was nearly 6 years later i wanted a water birth but was told i cant have one as im high risk due to high bmi by consultant so had another "normal" hospital birth where as this time i spoke to my midwife about can i have a water birth as this is going to be my last and found out after i had my second that i cant be refused a water birth if i want one unless something was to go really wrong and she said yeah of course i can theres nothing stopping me having one even with my second as high bmi is not a reason to not have a waterbirth and theres no history to say i cant either and she dont know why i was told i couldnt with my second so im hoping i can have one this time but if not it will have to be the "normal" hospital birth lol
