Another wedding ceremony?

We got married in October 2018 and I was wondering if it’d be weird to have another ceremony this summer?? I didn’t get to have the big wedding I’ve always wanted and not everyone I wanted to be there got to come. Our wedding was planned in 24 hours with a goodwill dress and burrowed dress shirt. And he wants to have another ceremony but I feel like everyone will think it’s weird.

We got married privately in our living room planning on doing a party later, later my MIL got wind and used it as something to focus on when she got a cancer diagnosis, the resulting party although beautiful and well intended was actually more of a living wake, family flew in to say goodbye, everyone cried and shared stories about her all night... She's still fighting but tbh I do plan on doing a Third celebration at some point that's about our union

I don't think that's weird, I think it's a situation many couples are faced with.

I personally think it's weird because it's so soon, I would wait and do vow renewals at like 5yrs...

It’s not weird. My brother and sister in law did this exact thing a year after their actual wedding.

I got married at the court house with my parents there. And then nine months later I had my big wedding. It’s not weird at all.

It wouldn't be a wedding ceremony as much as a renewal of your vows, which is fine lots of people do it.
My husband and I eloped because we knew it would be a long time before I could have my dream ceremony - so we used the standard vows and took a video for our loved ones. In 2020 my husband is getting out of the military and we're going to do a vow renewal ceremony using our own written vows.

Nope not weird, my fiance's best friend had a very small backyard wedding Oct. 2017 then a larger one in summer 2018. They didn't have the funds at the time, or the time to plan it out.
