Growth scan ?? Should I be worried??

So my midwife just left ... my fundal height has been measuring a week ahead since about 30 weeks (1cm) ahead each week this week it’s now 37 at 37 so she’s going to send me for a growth scan .... can’t help but be worried ?? Anyone had one and everything was ok??

I’ve been measuring a week ahead since 8 weeks, and for the past 3 weeks (I’m 39+2) he’s been measuring spot on. I also haven’t had a sonogram since 20 weeks during my anatomy scan. My docs said they would only send me for a growth scan if he was measuring 2-3 weeks ahead or if I was measuring too small. I don’t get how it’s an accurate measurement in general because I feel like the bigger my belly, the bigger the measurement, but who knows....

I was measuring 3-4 weeks ahead and so they sent me for a growth scan on December26th (everything was fine but she was measuring 36 weeks, I was 35).... I ended up going in to labor 2 am the next morning on the 27th and had her at 11:03 pm. She’s perfectly fine and healthy even though she is considered a premie!  Just still in shock that I had her right after her scan.

I just had mine at 37 weeks 5 days and they are just checking baby’s size before delivery. My fundal height has measured a little under each week so we thought baby might just be small or just really balled up in there! Everything looked perfectly normal on mine and baby girl will likely be around 7lbs when she’s born!

Thanks for all your replies!! It’s just they make you anxious when there parting words are keep an eye on baby’s movements any decrease and it’s L&D !! Made me feel a lot better !!

I've been measuring 2cm ahead since 26 weeks and at my 38 weeks appointment I was only 1cm ahead so got reffered for a growth scan. They said he's a big baby and predicted his weight at 8lb1 but still fell jusy under the 90th centile which they said was perfectly fine. Back at the midwife Tuesday for my 40 week appointment so see what she says!

That seems very odd that she is sending you for a scan when you’re now measuring right on. Growth scans also aren’t very accurate either and your full term by now! I would say there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. Your baby is measuring right on your week mark

Iv had like 3 of these already because one of midwifes measures me and tells me each time im measuring small. When i got for the scan i get told everything is measuring perfectly and baby is a great weight and size. I wouldnt worry too much but its good to get peace of mind!

Growth scans aren’t anything to worry about, they just take measurements of your baby to estimate its weight, if they do think your baby is a bit big then they’ll go through what options they might want you to take, with my first I got sent for a growth scan at 37 weeks and she was measuring big so they decided to induce me at 39 weeks. With this pregnancy my belly was measuring big so they sent me for two growth scans at 30 weeks and 34 weeks and he was measuring in the normal range on there so it was okay. I’m 37 weeks now. But just remember that these growth scans aren’t very accurate at all! They thought my first was approx 7lb 10oz at 37 weeks, and two weeks later she was born and that’s what she weighed so she obviously wasn’t that size at 37 weeks unless she hadn’t put on weight since then 🤦🏻‍♀️ at least it’s another chance to see your baby and check that everything is okay :)
