No judgement here please, I’m just curious. I’m 22, a full time student, and a part time employee. Before I turned 18 my Mom told me that she wouldn’t kick me out or make me pay rent as long as I’m doing something with my life (is going to school, working, etc.) and I appreciate her so much for that. We also have a very close relationship. Obviously I won’t stay with her forever, but she knows I don’t make a lot and that I’m more focused on school. And she knows how expensive it can be to rent an apartment. Part of me is always ashamed to admit I’m still living at home because I feel like there’s a certain stigma behind it. But at the same time I love my Mom to Death and I’m so happy our relationship and bond is the way it is. I guess it’s a “to each his own” kind of situation. I know people who moved out when they were 16, and some people in their late 20’s who still live at home but I’m curious to see what the numbers are.
