1st semester/year advice and tips for college?

I need advice for my first semester of college I'm stressing alot about it, I'm taking 3 classes which is a total of 10 credits. I would love some tips and tricks from you guys. 😌

Get a planner to make a schedule for yourself for classes, study time, etc. I find it easier to have it physically in front of me to touch.
Print out your syllabus for deadlines like quizzes, tests, and hw. Put it in the planner!
Set aside time to study at least an hr per class a day. Trust me it really does help to continuously study instead of cramming it.

College is all about time management! So make sure you have a planner bc that will make everything easier!! Plan each day out of what you need to get done and anything you need to study! Also download quizlet to make your own flash cards you can study them anywhere and anytime! And don’t be afraid to reach out to your professors if you need help with a class!

1. Get a planner and USE IT!
I always write all test/quiz/exam/assignment due dates in my planner at the starting of semester.
2. Talk to your professors. Don’t just keep your doubts to yourself until last moment.
3. Its all about time management. You might feel the need to socialize since now you’re in college but don’t get too carried away. Remember you are the one paying money for school, if you get bad grades its a loss for you, not just monetary but academically too.
4. Make use of library. Don’t let people distract you from studying and if you ask you to ‘come hang out till 1am’ when you have exam at 9am next day, tell them no.
College can be overwhelming, I wasted 2 semesters ‘enjoying’ where I failed 4 classes. Learned my lesson the hard way.

If you can help it, for the love of sweet baby Jesus himself DO NOT TAKE AN 8 AM. If you are someone who likes to sleep in or has problems sleeping away from home do not put yourself in a situation where you might miss a class. Also just be sure to prioritize class over partying as fun, classes are expensive to retake but you can always go to the next party and not miss very much

Learn when you can, how to, and possible reasons why to drop classes. You don’t have to stick thru them if they’re not working for you
