What the right bedtime

So my step daughter is 4 1/2 and she’s in school all day. My hubby thinks 9:30 is okay for her bedtime but I think that’s to late. What time do you ladies think is right

Seems late to me, but I guess it would also depend what time she has to get up in the morning. Preschoolers still need 11-13 hours of sleep, so I would set a bedtime by counting back from when she needs to get up. Also if you split custody with her mom, I would make sure her bedtime is the same at both houses.

My kids (5, 3, 18m) bed time is 8pm. It seems to work best for us.

Hell no 😂 my 19-month-old goes to bed at 6:30pm and wakes up between 7 and 8am. No way will I be putting her to bed at 9:30 at 4.5 years old. At that point her bedtime might be 7ish. Maybe 7:30.

That’s too late. She still needs many hours of sleep. So if she has to get up around 7 I’d start doing the bedtime routine around 730-745 so that she’s asleep between 8-830.

I think it depends on the kid. My daughter is 2 1/2, and sleeps pretty late in the morning usually. She doesn’t nap much these days, an hour at the most, and she goes to bed between 9 and 10.
