First haircut?

Nervous to cut my son's hair. He's 18 months old and it's curly and long. I constantly get "your daughter is so cute" "what a pretty young lady" ect, but I don't want his curls to go away..

Then don’t absolutely cut it, just a trim. Cause if it’s cut wrong, you’re risking losing his curls

My sons hair is gorgeous when it's longer. But he's always gotten the 'oh she's so cute!" When he's wearing like a monster truck shirt or something 😂 I just say "I know he is" I just go with it. They think my baby is cute. Girl or boy whatever. The longer you wait the harder it may be to get him to settle down and let you cut it. My son got his cut a few months after his first birthday and then I've been cutting it ever since. It's still a struggle to get him to sit still but with patience it gets done.

My son has curly hair as well. We trimmed it back in July.  So he was 2 months shy of his second birthday. Once we cut it if he wasn't sweaty or in the humid air his hair was straight.  The moment he started running or was outside it went back to curly. It's pretty long now and it's constantly curly again.  He's in need of a hair cut but I just can't bring myself to it. I say just give it a trim for now.

My daughter is 2.5 and I have yet  to get her hair cut   First I was afraid the curls would go away. Now it’s finally long enough I can pull it back into a ponytail so I don’t want to cut it and it be too short again

Girl I get the same response ALL the time. He is 3 and a half with beautiful curly hair! I won’t cut it bc I love it and he loves it as well. Always tells me he likes his hair long so we’re gonna let it go until he doesn’t like it anymore. I’m afraid I’ll loose the curls if I cut it anyways

Once you cut it the first time the curls usually don’t come back. At least this happened with my brothers. They had really curly hair then after the first haircut they disappeared 🤷🏻‍♀️

I got my son’s hair cut when he was 16 months old but only for the experience for my mom—we were at Disney World and she really wanted to get his first haircut at the barbershop on Main Street. It was cute. It was a year ago and I haven’t cut it since. I love his longer hair. Some people call him “she” but it never bothers me.

That’s hard my sons hair grew fast I told myself if he had cute curls I’ll leave it longer but he got straight hair lol so I cut it around 13 months old now he’s 17 months and just recently had it cut again for the 3rd time it’s so hard though because they don’t like to sit still lol good luck do whatever you want who cares what others think
