Husband doesn't help me out

I have 4 kids one is 6 months old. 2 dogs 2 cats. He doesn't ever help me much at all with the kids or chores. Never realy offers either. Can sit and watch TV or on phone and not even feel like concerned watching me do everything. This really wears on me that he acts like that. Do men do this or do alot help? He actually acts like he works and should not have to do much. Doesn't say it but just actions. Shouldn't I get some help with this many kids? Also he always sleeps in and rarely offer me to. I just wonder if it's typical becuz I'm so frustrated. Do I expect too much?
