With my first, we had a blood test to find out his gender - so please excuse my ignorance, this is new to me.

It’s looking like I won’t be able to get my first ultrasound for this pregnancy until I am 14 weeks. I am 12 weeks now and still haven’t even had my first doctors appointment. I am delivering and being seen at a birth center and they don’t even have ultrasounds there, which is why I won’t be getting one at the first visit. It’s a mess. But long story short - I won’t be getting an ultrasound until at least 14 weeks.

Has anyone been able to find out the gender of their baby that early? Is that even possible? I feel like I’ve heard of it before but I don’t want to get my hopes up. I’m wondering if I should just wait to get the ultrasound until 15 or 16 weeks to kill 2 birds with one stone. I’m just pretty obviously showing already so I don’t want to wait much longer to announce - and I want to see my baby before announcing.
