How was your son’s circumcision?

How did your son’s circumcision go? How was the recovery? My son is getting circumcised today and I’m so worried because he’s a bit older than the typical age. Being a first time boy mom, I don’t know what to expect and I’m so scared something really bad is going to happen.

All 3 of my boys did fine the day after I had them they took them for a couple hrs maybe not even that long and brought them back all done they didnt cry or anything after they were back with me you just have to keep it clean when my boys were done they told me to put a&d ointment on it until it was healed idk if they still make you do that my youngest is 7.5 I do know you have to make sure when cleaning it you arent letting the skin reattach bc that happened to one of my boys and the dr had to pull it weeks later and he did cry for that but everything else went great

My son cried when they did it initially but that was it. He was fine after. It heals fairly quickly.

I've been nervous about this too even talked to my husband and ob doctor my son will get his while still in the hospital. I've had nightmares of the strap down table told my husband I dont think I can be in the room for it he might have to.

2 of my boys had it within the first week and were champs. The numbing medicine stings but that’s all they fussed about. My 3rd boy had some trouble gaining weight (milk problems) and didn’t get it until 2-3 weeks old. That freaked me out but he did just as fine as the other two. Make sure you have some Tylenol just in case they need it. Lots of nursing (if you BF) and cuddles.
