Membrane sweep/ stripping?

Has anyone had a membrane sweep at 39 weeks???? Did it work? They are checking me tomorrow at my 39 + 1 appointment and I’m going to ask if they’ll do a membrane sweep.

I had it done with my first and it didn’t work, I’m 37 weeks with my second and I’m not having it done this time round because it hurt for nothing 😝

I had one done at my 39 week appt last Thursday and it unfortunately didnt work for me. I've been 3cm dilated and 50% effaced since 38 weeks and lost my mucous plug. I'll be 40 weeks at my appt this Thursday and be getting another sweep done. I really hope it works🤞🤞
