When to start buying baby things 🤷‍♀️

When did you start buying baby stuff? 
And what was the first thing you got?

I started at 10 weeks. Im 16 weeks now and the nursery is almost done and I have some baby clothes.

At 6 weeks I registered for all the freebies I could find. That satisfied my need to get baby stuff until we hit the 20 week scan and knew gender. Then I had to go buy tons of tiny summer clothes since my daughter's stuff won't work for him. My mother is excited to get him stuff too (we haven't had a boy in the family in 13 years) so I told her she could outfit him for the fall and winter. Big purchases will come next 2 months as we work on the nursery. We aren't having a baby shower so we don't need to worry about how that factors in.

With this one probably not till later on.

I'm 15 weeks and just bought a boppy cover. We are having a boy this time and all our stuff is pink (from our daughter) That's the only thing I've personally purchased but other have already started buying stuff.

I’m 18 weeks and haven’t bought a single thing yet - I’m going to wait till the 20 week scan where I’ll find out the gender and make sure everything’s ok with baby

I waited until I was 20 weeks to start buying stuff. Of course I was gifted some things like stuffed bears, handmade socks & hats 😋 I didn’t mind it but I bought bigger things at 20 weeks & some more clothes since I knew the gender by then.

I’m waiting till 12 weeks. I’ve looked at a few things here and there that I want but I’m trying to hold off until the miscarriage chance goes down and we announce!

Had a complete nursery at 12 weeks.
Lost my son at 19 weeks and burned everything crib, dressers etc.
Second pregnancy 36 weeks.
Third lost at 5 weeks so never started.
