OB crushing my dream

I am almost 42 and have one open tube after a reverse tubal last April. I weigh 220 lbs. I have regular periods every month. I am a generally healthy woman for my age. I am so tired of the doctors and OB's crushing my hopes and Dreams. I do not have money for IVF or IUI. I just want a doctor to help me get pregnant with the methods that are within my means and even those are limited to just general testings and clomid. I am tired of them telling me I am too old, fat and at risk of too many health problems to have a baby. I am going to be starting my first round of clomid in a few days and am praying so hard that it works. I was told yesterday by my new OB that clomid is pretty much only good for five rounds and after that it is pointless. If it is going to work for you then it will within those five rounds, and if not I'm pretty much out of luck and options. My husband and I want this so bad. Any women my age going thru the same thing with their doctor? Any advice or tips are very welcome and appreciated. Baby dust to all and here's looking forward to a BFP soon.
