So, I’ve been with my boyfriend for a year now. And we have sex unprotected. Well here’s the timeline, we started having sex December 2017, and I had my first noticeable sore May 2018, finally went to the doctor and was diagnosed with HSV 2 in October 2018. I’m devastated. We love each other, and not to mention we have been friends and on and off sexual since we were 18 years old, we are in our 30s now. I know I need to tell him, but I’m afraid I will lose him or he will blame me. I don’t know how long I could’ve had this, since I was just diagnosed, but prior to May of last year, I never had any symptoms or any thought in my mind I would have herpes. Help!! How should I go about this?!
