Would you say this is her first word or not? My daughter almost 3mo old says mama when shes upset and only then like calling out to me. I cant get her to replicate it so i don't know.

She would have to know what it means, and use it repeatedly in the correct situation. At 3 months she's not going to know what it means, just that its a sound that she can make. Most babies don't have a true first word until they're 12-14 months on average.

She is just learning how to make sounds. She will continue to repeat consonant/vowel sounds (Mamamama, dadadada, nanana, etc). She is just learning she has a voice and how to use it

At 2 months my baby clearly said Hi! Twice.  She doesn't even use it at 18 months, so there is no way she knew the word.

My youngest son always called me when he’d wake up from nap or in the morning and “mama!” At 6 months and at 8 months when he started standing on his own he’d call his brother looking around for him
